In this project, Hanne Arends explores honesty and the fading essence of reckless youth. As we grow older, we lose playfulness and boundless energy, as if we must unlearn these traits. But why?

This series of glass works is about rediscovery. About creative freedom, about letting go of utility and meaning.

Because yes, life can be heavy, but that doesn’t mean we have to take everything so seriously. Where is the freedom to play, to knead, to shape? I want to allow myself to be uninhibited again and embrace the child within me.
